Ten Bills Become Law, Including Manufacturing, Fraud and Energy Measures

The President signed ten bills on October 20. Among the substantive changes, H.R. 1721 requires Commerce to study domestic manufacturing feasibility for high-demand imported products constrained by supply chains; H.R. 2481 requires dating services to notify users when a correspondent was banned for fraud; H.R. 4307 requires specified Labor Department human-trafficking detection training; and H.R. 7831 extends Interior authority to collect certain oil-and-gas permit-processing fees. Enactment establishes legal duties or authority, not completed studies, detected trafficking, prevented fraud, faster permits or added production.
